Humming Caught in Electrical Wires EP
2024 - Ongoing
6 tracks
22:10 min
This work consists of a collection of field recordings that are accompanied by ambient music, originating from an earlier experiment conducted during the minor Hacking. Titled ‘Humming Caught in Electrical Wires’, the work pays hommage to biophony, geophony, and their interaction with anthrophony. The ambient tracks engage in an inter- and counterplay with the fieldrecordings, offering interpretations of the contemporary, spatial and emotional qualities of the fieldrecordings. The work aims to highlight the beauty and importance of natural sound while uncovering the hidden beauty in certain human-made noise (and sounds).

Short animation
16 sec.
This animation is a texture exploration inspired by my visit to the Troposcatter in Hoek van Holland. The sun hitting the imposing reflectors warped the light in a beautiful way. I captured this effect and transformed it into an analog-looking animation. Fun fact: the heart shape in the texture exploration is actually a small piece from the Troposcatter itself.

Own font + Mixed Media
I created this typographic experiment after visiting Brussels, where I was inspired by the Art Nouveau architecture there. The curves in the type are a response to the small but elegant details found in the buildings.

Together with Ethan Major
@majorcommunications__I’ve always been drawn to Ethan’s work and reached out to see if we could collaborate. Starting from a shared song choice, we created a clock-like visual that translates the music into a looping, rhythmic image.

Digital Playlist CoverInspired by Valentine’s Day, I created a typographic experiment for a love-themed playlist. The letters are positioned to suggest closeness and affection, as if they are holding each other.

Wortschwall Display Font
2019
TypefaceWortschwall refers to making something sound more beautiful or important than it actually is. Today, communication often revolves around self-promotion and polished language. We want to appear interesting and likable, even though the words we use frequently carry little meaning.
The inspiration for this typeface comes from a time when setting letters on paper required care, effort, and time. Each letter was placed deliberately, leaving no space for unnecessary text.
With a contemporary perspective, I looked at historical typefaces and explored how they could be reinterpreted and modernized. This project marks my first typeface design. It is intended to emphasize what truly matters.
