Typeface
The inspiration for this typeface comes from a time when setting letters on paper required care, effort, and time. Each letter was placed deliberately, leaving no space for unnecessary text.
With a contemporary perspective, I looked at historical typefaces and explored how they could be reinterpreted and modernized. This project marks my first typeface design. It is intended to emphasize what truly matters.

Mixed media video for social media
When Kavian, the founder of Strength in Sound, approachd me for the promotion of a party at Multipla Amsterdam I immediately got inspired. I have always been intrigued by car window stickers and their micrographics, and knowing the party was going to be at Multipla I took those stickers as a base for the design.

Hugh Lindsey is an indie - folk artist from Huntsville, AL (US). He invited me to design the covers for his singles and his EP Memoria. Together we reimagined the traditional design of American barn quilts to connect to be the representation of folk lore.
For the visual textures, I sourced imagery from 1980s nature magazines and embraced their heavy grain and printed imperfections. Each collage shaped its own palette and allowed the found material to determine the final outcome. The project became a way of letting analogue traces guide a digital process and resulted in a series that feels weathered, tactile, and quietly storied, much like the music itself.Wibar Eyes Wide Shut

For a long time, an empty vending machine stood lonely and unused in a corner of Onomatopee's exhibition space. So I decided to fill it. Not with sweets or carbonated drinks, but with experimental publications printed in Onomatopee's own Risograph workshop.
This first edition of The Vendor is filled with rants, spells, fantasies, vents, experiments, dreams, poems and pictures by more than forty different contributors - all through open-submission.
I would like to thank everyone who took the time to submit something to fill the pages of The Vendor, whom are named on the index page.

The publication The Walk, The Parade, The Pavilion and The Sticker: A dialogue between two post-industrial cities focuses on the walk as an artistic method and addresses the ambivalence between a ‘walk’ and a ‘parade’. The talk, walk and workshop are led by Barbara Holub and Jaspar Joseph-Lester, in collaboration with Van Abbe Museum and Onomatopee
Where we initially planned to create a trifold brochure, I proposed designing a map instead, as this directly connected to the concept of the walk. The cover of the map was done with white ink, hardly visible at first, but when held in the right angle an artwork would appear. Just like stickers hidden in the city. It was a pleasure working together with Barbara and Jaspar.
