Humming Caught in Electrical Wires EP
2024 - Ongoing

6 tracks
22:10 min

This work consists of a collection of field recordings that are accompanied by ambient music, originating from an earlier experiment conducted during the minor Hacking. Titled ‘Humming Caught in Electrical Wires’, the work pays hommage to biophony, geophony, and their interaction with anthrophony. The ambient tracks engage in an inter- and counterplay with the fieldrecordings, offering interpretations of the contemporary, spatial and emotional qualities of the fieldrecordings. The work aims to highlight the beauty and importance of natural sound while uncovering the hidden beauty in certain human-made noise (and sounds).

Troposcatter
2025

Short animation
16 sec.
This animation is a texture exploration inspired by my visit to the Troposcatter in Hoek van Holland. The sun hitting the imposing reflectors warped the light in a beautiful way. I captured this effect and transformed it into an analog-looking animation. Fun fact: the heart shape in the texture exploration is actually a small piece from the Troposcatter itself.

Juweel Type experiment

Own font + Mixed Media
I created this typographic experiment after visiting Brussels, where I was inspired by the Art Nouveau architecture there. The curves in the type are a response to the small but elegant details found in the buildings.

Collaborative Spec Work
Album Cover

Together with Ethan Major
@majorcommunications__
I’ve always been drawn to Ethan’s work and reached out to see if we could collaborate. Starting from a shared song choice, we created a clock-like visual that translates the music into a looping, rhythmic image.

Digital Playlist Cover
Inspired by Valentine’s Day, I created a typographic experiment for a love-themed playlist. The letters are positioned to suggest closeness and affection, as if they are holding each other.

Wortschwall Display Font
2019

Typeface
Wortschwall refers to making something sound more beautiful or important than it actually is. Today, communication often revolves around self-promotion and polished language. We want to appear interesting and likable, even though the words we use frequently carry little meaning.

The inspiration for this typeface comes from a time when setting letters on paper required care, effort, and time. Each letter was placed deliberately, leaving no space for unnecessary text.

With a contemporary perspective, I looked at historical typefaces and explored how they could be reinterpreted and modernized. This project marks my first typeface design. It is intended to emphasize what truly matters.

Strength in Sound x Multipla
Event  Promotion
2025

Mixed media video for social media
When Kavian, the founder of Strength in Sound, approachd me for the promotion of a party at Multipla Amsterdam I immediately got inspired. I have always been intrigued by car window stickers and their micrographics, and knowing the party was going to be at Multipla I took those stickers as a base for the design.

A2 Poster
I made this poster for Sound Metaphors’ 10th year anuversary at Wibar. Using Sound Metaphors’ brand identity I created a flashy poster for their celebratory party at Wibar.
Combining my obessesion for spiral shapes together with the circulair logo of Sound Metaphors creates this psychedelic looking poster.

Memoria EP
Hugh Lindsey
2025

Four digital  album covers
Mixed media
Hugh Lindsey is an indie - folk artist from Huntsville, AL (US). He invited me to design the covers for his singles and his EP Memoria. Together we reimagined the traditional design of American barn quilts to connect to be the representation of folk lore.
For the visual textures, I sourced imagery from 1980s nature magazines and embraced their heavy grain and printed imperfections. Each collage shaped its own palette and allowed the found material to determine the final outcome. The project became a way of letting analogue traces guide a digital process and resulted in a series that feels weathered, tactile, and quietly storied, much like the music itself.

Motion graphics for social media
I got asked to do the event promotion for Wibar’s Eyes Wide Shut party. I tried to match the graphics with the music being played at the party.

Strength in Sound
Brand Identity
2024

Brand Identity and Web Design
I developed a visual language rooted in transition and growth. The spiral connects beginning and end, symbolizing movement without losing its core. In a realm where many electronic aesthetics lean cold and clinical, this identity embraces warmth, echoing the energy and connection that sound creates.

Don’t Wanna Go
Prodace & Witty Ghost
2024

Digital Single Cover
I designed this single cover for Prodace, a producer based in Leiden (NL). It already was late summer, but listening to the track the summer feeling got revamped in an instant. Exactly this feeling is what I tried to capture in the cover. A nostalgic, retro summery atmosphere.

Maxi Radio Club Night

Motion graphics for social media
The crew of Maxi Radio asked me to design another event promotion. This time for their disco club night. Essential for a disco night: a discoball. But then Maxi shaped.

Maxi Radio Club Night
Event Promotion

Motion graphics for social media +
A2 Poster

The crew of Maxi Radio asked me to design the event promotion for one of their club nights. After creating their new brand identity we decided that for Maxi Club Nights we could go all out instead of sticking with the identity only. So that’s what I did here with using their logo and ‘+’ that is widely used in the branding for this animation.

Maxi Radio
Branding
2023

Brand Identity
Maxi radio was going to move, and wanted to make a fresh start with a new brand identity. Maxi’s crew wanted to keep their old logo and base the identity around that. I started out with the logo and opted it as a grid system throughout the whole identity, an easy to use system for their socials.

For a long time, an empty vending machine stood lonely and unused in a corner of Onomatopee's exhibition space. So I decided to fill it. Not with sweets or carbonated drinks, but with experimental publications printed in Onomatopee's own Risograph workshop.
This first edition of The Vendor is filled with rants, spells, fantasies, vents, experiments, dreams, poems and pictures by more than forty different contributors - all through open-submission.
I would like to thank everyone who took the time to submit something to fill the pages of The Vendor, whom are named on the index page.

The Walk, The Parade, The Pavillion

Risoprinted

10.5 × 29.7 cm
signed, folded affiche, limited edition

The publication The Walk, The Parade, The Pavilion and The Sticker: A dialogue between two post-industrial cities focuses on the walk as an artistic method and addresses the ambivalence between a ‘walk’ and a ‘parade’. The talk, walk and workshop are led by Barbara Holub and Jaspar Joseph-Lester, in collaboration with Van Abbe Museum and Onomatopee
Where we initially planned to create a trifold brochure, I proposed designing a map instead, as this directly connected to the concept of the walk. The cover of the map was done with white ink, hardly visible at first, but when held in the right angle an artwork would appear. Just like stickers hidden in the city. It was a pleasure working together with Barbara and Jaspar.

Ship and a Sailor
Jackson Ulmer
2020

Digital Album Cover +
Social Media Promotion
Jackson Ulmer is a folk artist based in Boston (US). For his single Ship and a Sailor, I designed a digital cover inspired by the idea of an album cover as a love letter sent by a sailor. Subtle, secretive marks are woven into the design, hinting at life at sea.
